Easter In Our Family

Easter is definitely a celebration of Christ in our family, but we try to make it a day of family fun too. Usually we attend church and eat out, and spend the day together. Saturday was the day this year that the kids delighted in coloring eggs, hiding eggs filled with candy and of course finding them. This year they also made chocolate chip cookies. A few pictures follow.

Is God Still Wonderful To You?

My bible study really challenged me this morning. It was a phrase taken from Isa. 9:6, "And he will be called wonderful". Are there times when I don`t call him wonderful? Is he always wonderful to me? Do circumstances in my life decide whether he is wonderful that day or not so wonderful the next?

I really thought about this and realized that in the past several years my concept of God has greatly changed. There was a time when situations in life would have definitly clouded my view of God as being wonderful. Today, however I can honestly say because I know and believe him in a way I never did before, he is truly wonderful to me all the time. I listed some reasons why this is true in my personal life, here are a few of them.

1. He is the one that is always faithful.

2. He has an unfailing, unconditional love for me.

3. He has become my satisfaction.

4. I love to be in his presence.

5. He comforts me.

6. He teaches me something about who he is in my life everyday.

7. He keeps me accountable.

8. He is my hiding place.

9. I know him better today then I did yesterday.

10. He gives me a purpose.

He is God Almighty, He is my Holy, sovereign God, and He is Wonderful to me.
